Customer Service Technician
RETROTECH, Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in Automated Warehouse Modernization. The job of Customer Service Technician is first to support Customer Service Trouble shooting and PM efforts and second support manufacturing in house efforts as Retrotech installs material handling systems at customer sites throughout North America.
Reporting Structure:
The Customer Service Technician reports to the Site Operations Supervisor.
Salary Structure:
The Customer Service Technician will classify Hourly (1 ½ times pay over 40 hours)
Department:
Customer Service Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 80% of time throughout North America. Some of this travel will include short notice of needed departures.
- Solid mechanical & electrical skills/read and understand electrical prints.
- Ability to read and diagnose PLC code.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Work in a team environment/strong communication skills.
- Technical or vocational degree (electrical, electromechanical) or equivalent experience/training
Software Application Knowledge
(Willingness to learn any of the following a must)
- Desk top software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and Outlook
- Operating Systems: Windows
- R/S Logix
Responsibilities:
- Support of project work
- Training the customer in operations and maintenance of equipment
- Test/debug components
- Support Manufacturing/Field Installation Dept.
- Mechanical and Electrical Assembly/Panel building.
- Prepare shipments to project sites.
- Perform preventative Maintenance on a wide range of automated equipment
- Inspect and install mechanical / electrical components.
- Record and report on the Preventive Maintenance work preformed.
- Inspect and replace worn parts as needed to avoid breakdowns and down time.>
- Emergency Service Calls
- Travel to job sites on short notice to trouble shoot and repair customer issues.
